kids, teens, and family routines
A team effort
Routines and rituals are hard to establish on your own, and are especially hard to establish when you add kids to the mix! Family support and coaching involves meeting with parents and children, both together and separately, to identify and problem-solve challenging times of the day including homework routines, bedtime, morning routines, and screentime schedules.
Coaching is also available for homeschool curriculum and planning, daily routines, and setting up learning spaces.
6- or 8- week sessions involve an initial meeting to set priorities and goals, followed by regular shorter meetings as well as email and text check-ins for support and accountability. 10 week sessions are available for those just beginning the homeschooling journey.
Homework
Kids work hard all day, and then are expected to complete work without the structure and supports of a school environment. We can be "homework detectives" together and discover what systems work best for your child(ren) and family!
Screentime
Screens, like so much in life, come with pros and cons. When screentime feels out of hand, there are effective strategies to help kids and families develop healthy and sustainable screen habits.
Morning/Bedtime Routine
Establishing bedtime and morning routines are crucial for good sleep hygeine, smooth starts to the day, and easy bedtimes.
Homeschooling (6, 8, or 10 wk)
Established homeschoolers can find support with lesson plans, daily schedules, and learning-space organization, as well as ongoing check-ins and support.
For new homeschoolers, a 10 week option includes time for reviewing curriculum options and establishing town/city/state paperwork requirements.
